This contemporary hostel is centrally located in Düsseldorf’s Friedrichstadt district. Just 15 minutes’ walk from the Old Town, it offers comfortable rooms with free WiFi.

Backpackers Düsseldorf provides bright and modern dormitory and lounge areas. Rooms at the hostel are non-smoking, and guests enjoy free use of lockers.

The hostel is one of the best I've seen, clean and comfortable. There is a more intimate atmosphere here and you can meet interesting people from all over the world, make new friends, while enjoying the included breakfast or playing games in the common areas. There is even a well equipped kitchen with cooking supplies and refrigerators. Check-in was very efficient. Secure building in a super central location, within walking distance to many main attractions, including Königsallee, Altstadt, K21 Art Museum, Rheinturm Düsseldorf, but also close to the central train station and plenty of public transportation options. Staff is very accommodating, friendly and speaks excellent English. The owner has decorated the place in a bold and artsy way. There is a stunning wall-size image of the earth as soon as you enter. Make sure to take a look at the clever posters and signs everywhere, picked with a great sense of humor by the owner himself. He's traveled the world and has great knowledge about different cultures. In addition, there are also cool, hand painted murals, by an international graffiti artist. Thank you Patrick for the unique experience and for creating a home away from home for travelers!

Being not from Germany, the friendly and warm staff made me feel at home! Comfortable bed and a quiet room.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
