The location was close to everything yet not directly in the main square area so there was less noise! The staff were incredibly helpful, giving us a full debrief on the area, answering all of our questions and providing us with free waterproof clothing for hiking. The hotel itself is lovely and the room we had was our favourite so far in Colombia. We had the whole top floor to ourselves and the room was impeccably clean and traditionally decorated with everything we needed. There was also free water, coffee and tea all day which is a lovely touch.

Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given a place. Our host Diego was the absolute man. He owns the property and ~800 acres of the surrounding land. He took us out for a truly amazing ride with his three dogs and incredibly easy-to-ride horses. We rode up to the top of the mountain and had a little picnic together. Absolutely incredible. After that we went into town to have a few beers but came back early as he was grilling an amazing Colombian specialty for us. Unbelievably delicious! I would recommend Reserva Guadalajara to everyone I know. I hope one day to return to Salento; in the meantime enjoy everything Diego and his incredible place have to offer!

And when I left my jacket in a pub in on our last night in Salento she helped out in retrieving it and sending it to my next destination. Ps. they have very cute cat.

The breakfast and coffee is fresh and sets you up for the day! The hosts are LOVELY and helpful, instantly make you feel welcome and have the best town knowledge and tips! We stayed longer than expected! I wish we could stay even longer!

I felt really welcomed by the owners and staff. It's a great place for those who enjoy the nature and tranquility. We booked one of the smaller rooms, but it was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. We were greeted with a cup of delicious coffee and bowl of fresh fruits, the owner showed us their spacious garden, bunnies and birds, it's a good place to relax and connect with nature. There's a small restaurant just steps away and it's a perfect spot if you want to get away from the crowded town of Salento.

Special thank you for the staff for letting us arrive past their usual closing time (9pm) and for the good communication before our arrival to Salento. The hostel is really beautiful and cozy and it has amazing views to the valley. Nice breakfast as well. Would happily stay again :)
