It's a familiar place right in the jungle. The whole hostel is made in that kind that you're really feelin the nature which surrounds you. The workers are nice and the food is good. Especially the tours with Sam are an exciting experience. The only thing is, don't forget to bring enough money in cash. Nowhere in this area is an atm! Thx guys for the familiar atmosphere and the nice days I had with you!

Origen Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in El Zaino. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 32 km of Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. The accommodation features evening entertainment and free WiFi throughout the property.

our stay in the Origen hostel was very special. this was mainly because of its very unique location. The Origen hostel is located in the middle of the jungle, which makes the stay very authentic, grounding and relaxing. To reach the hostel you need to cross a (shallow) river and then take a short stroll through the jungle. Tayrona National Park is 20 walking minutes from the hostel. The Hostel combines traditional architecture with modern elements. you can feel how thoughtful every room is designed. There is a room for everyone and every need. We stayed 2 nights in a dorm (the dorms are super airy and have nets in the windows, so birds/bats can't pass. Every bed has its own mosquito net and there are lockers.) and 2 nights in a double room. There is a huge common area with hammocks and a huge pool. The pool was definitely one of the highlights as its heated and just very chilled. As the hostel doesn't have a kitchen, you can eat in the own restaurant. dinner must be booked beforehand (what we forgot most of the nights, but had dinner regardlessly) and is always vegan/vegetarian and seasonal. During our stay mangos from the many trees got harvested and were offered to the guests for free. So for days we ate mangos. Breakfast can be ordered in the morning and was the best breakfast we had in Colombia. With 30k per meal it might be a little expensive, compared to what meals you'd get for this price, but the quality is worth the price. In Addition the nights were very cheap, so I'd still stay that the price-performance is very convenient. What makes the stay even better are definitely the hosts. Will and his family are so nice and courteous. They are open for a chat, a recommendation or questions whenever. Originally we wanted to stay 4 nights in total, but couldn't book the other 2 nights, Will found a very suitable solution for us, and In the end we stayed with Wills parents (as Will had been away), which felt so homey.

Calm and refreshing place to chill near the jungle, early in the morning you can even see some monkeys ! The hosts are so nice, and will help you with everything. The bed was comfy, the sound of the rivier and the nature to fall a sleep. The food from the host is really good, and cheap. The rivier down the hostel is really good for swimming or chilling on the rock. There are some waterfall to visit and Tayrona entrance (El Zaino) is really close

Completely love the natural settings and how the buildings are built into the land! The flora and fauna were stunning, set against Tayrona National Park. The pool, a sweet oasis with a fun little slide that the grown up kids could even enjoy. The restaurant made a great variety of tasty food. Fully recommend!!!

I was there in low season so I was almost the only one there. Which I loved as it was super quiet:) I had the swimming pool for myself! The facilities are great, the pool area is super relaxing and you can eat as many mangoes as you wish since they keep falling from the trees :) The restaurant on site is good and has several options.

What a beautiful hostal. Perched up a bit higher, so you had a beautiful view from the restaurant, overlooking the mountain, and lush greenery! Cute little private hut, with a perfect outdoor seating space. Great food in the restaurant on site, and very friendly owner, and staff. Great location, 2 kms from the second entrance to Tayrona.

Apart from the road to get there everything is AMAZING about this hostel! Couldn’t recommend it more. One of the, if not thé, best hostel I’ve stayed in. Beautiful (outdoor!!) rooms, a big area to wander around and get lost in and such a good place to meet people. The vibe was completely right!

The location is amazing!! So beautiful, with views of the jungle and the hills. There is múltiple places to chill, including pool, bath, net, swing and chairs. The food is amazing, definitely best hostel food I've ever had!! Its close enough to tayrona, el zaino entrance to walk (about 35 mins) plus some of it through the jungle which is beautiful. The staff were great, lots of volunteers who also speak English. We stayed in the hobbit room, outside shower and comfortable space.

The view from the room was beautiful, we could see some animals during the day and night, the hostel is good for meeting new people from around the world as they propose a variety of common areas, the food they sell is pretty tasty as well. In general it has a good location if you plan to visit the Tayrona Park.

In itself being close to the beach (20 min walk) it’s a bonus, the actual tent was really spacious and we left our bags and phones charging there and nothing went missing which we felt safe for. Shower and toilets were working. There was plenty of security and staff to watch over your things. The restaurant was not cheap but really good quality food and drinks. Breakfast was delicious.
