A recently renovated property, 波奈 浅草 Hana Asakusa ーSkyTree前駅まで徒歩5分ー is situated in Tokyo near Hatonomachidori Shopping Street, Tsukada Kobo and Aizome Museum. I like the experience of traditional japanese room for sleeping.

I booked this room as a "getaway" from the hustle and bustle of Central Tokyo and it didn't disappoint. Located just 8 minutes from Sakurajosui Station, it's in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of character. The host, Yumi, is an amazing person. One of the warmest people I've met on my travels. Clean beds, clean bathrooms, a record player in the shared space. It was a great experience and the value for your buck is absolutely insane. I will say that if you do book here, try to do more than a few days. I felt like I was becoming a part of the neighborhood right when I had to leave after 3 days of being there. Highly recommended, everything was amazing, even down to the cool set of keys each guest receives for the house. Will definitely re-book in the future.

Set in Oshima, 15 km from Motomachi Port and 20 km from Okada Port, 築100年の宿【はぶの家】 offers a garden and air conditioning. Everything was on point! Such a mesmerizing atmosphere, very comfortable, but also historical and so connected to nature! The food was beyond excellent! We liked everything, and would like to come again and again :) Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Kitazawa Cozy House er staðsett í Setagaya-hverfinu í Tókýó, 700 metra frá Kitazawa Hachiman-helgiskríninu, 700 metra frá Shinganji-hofinu og 1,4 km frá Museum of Modern Japanese Literature. The room was a good size and came with a small kitchen. Many heaters were provided. The area was very quiet. Very close to shimokitazawa station and shops.

This is one of those cases where I feel I lack the words to express how beautiful of an experience this place was by itself. The greenery view from the room window, attentiveness of the hosts, the handmade food they serve, everything was heartwarming.

銀河荘-Galaxy Guesthouse 12歳以下不可 is located in Hachijo and offers a garden and a terrace. This 2-star guest house offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. Keiko and Kenta were very nice and attentive hosts, staying in the Guesthouse almost felt like home. Also they had some good advice for travelling around the island or good places for coffee/dinner. Last but not least we really want to come back. We are pretty sad that the four days are over.

I can't say enough good things about this experience! The host, who told me to call him Ash, makes his hostel feel like a home away from home. It's no wonder people come back. Everything is so thought out and labeled in Japanese and English with great care. I had never stayed at a hostel before and it felt wonderful to stay here; I felt very safe, comfortable, and at peace. It was smaller which made it quieter and very peaceful. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have stayed somewhere where I looked forward to coming home to. Everything felt very personable. I got help with anything I needed. I can't say enough good things It was easy to find what I needed, I felt very safe, everything was super clean, I felt cared for, and it felt like a very personalized experience. I liked that it was affordable and that the host seemed to care about me as an individual person, not just someone using the service. I had some trouble with the booking/ made mistakes and he was very communicative and helped me out. He went above and beyond with helping me with my luggage and was very patient with me. That felt very comforting in a country that I was going to for the first time and couldn't speak the language. Also the location was about 30 minutes by train for everything that I wanted to go do/see. I felt safe as a solo female traveler walking around at night. Thanks again!
