The breakfast was amazing and the location perfect. There is a local bus stop just outside the hotel.

The train service stopped due to land slide and we faced difficulty in reaching and leaving Varenna. Difficult to catch a taxi to leave Varenna to Lecco for onward train to Milano. Laura was kind enough to order a taxi for us. Clean and quiet room. Excellently located very close to the pier - good when raining.

The Vitrum provides a variety of different themed rooms. Our room was overlooking the Como Duamo. Such a perfect location, being able to soak in the atmosphere on the balcony. The bathroom along with the shower was amazing. Would highly recommend this beautiful and modern hotel.

Loved chatting with her! Fridge is pre-filled with all the goodies (sodas, water, beers, wine, etc.) you could possibly wish for on a hot summer day. There's an absolutely outstanding gelateria just around the corner, make sure to try it!
