Lækjaborgir Guesthouse is located in Kálfafell, 26 km east of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Amazing stay in this lovely guesthouse! Super cozy, all the necessary provided, even the coffee (we are Italian and we really appreciated it 😀). Perfect position to get to the glacier lagoon, with a peaceful surrounding! I really advice to stay in this guesthouse if you are looking for a cozy and quiet place !

מקום האירוח Guesthouse Hateigi 2 שוכן מול הים בהלה, וכולל גינה. תוכלו ליהנות מנוף להרים. החדרים של Guesthouse Hateigi 2 כוללים פינת ישיבה וטלוויזיה בעלת מסך שטוח. המארחת ורוניק היתה אדיבה, יעילה ונחמדה. החדר היה מצוין. המיטה נוחה (מזרון רך מדי לטעמי) ורחבה. יש בחדר גם ספה נוחה. מטבחון מאובזר טוב ושולחן אוכל. החדר מאד נעים. השרותים משותפים לשני חדרים הם מצוינים וכמעט אין הרגשה שהם משותפים. מכונת אספרסו נמצאת במקום והשימ6ש בחינם. סך הכל מקום מצוין. החוה קצת מרוחקת מהעירה הקרובה אבל קרובה מאד למלון VOS שם ניתן לאכול ררוחת ערב טובה (מסעדת שף איטלקי)

The place was really nice, bright, larger than we expected, clean and with so many facilities, very happy with the accommodaton, lovely views too. Véronique, our host, was super friendly, we had a nice chat when we arrived and the day after she went totally out of her way to warn us about a weather alert, thanks Véronique, we will be back!

Situated in Fludir, Klettar Tower Iceland has a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi throughout the property. Private parking is available to guests, free of charge. This is one of the most unique and coolest places I have stayed at in my years of international travels. A silo converted into 4 bedrooms and a rooftop lounge - who would have imagined that? There were 7 of us travelling and we were lucky to have the entire tower to ourselves. The bedrooms exceeded my expectation in that they have very modern and hi-tech facilities (such as the ceiling ambiance lights that can change colours), while keeping a simplistic and clean design. The rooms are well equipped with power outlets; safety equipment like fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector; a small kitchenette with sink, stove and kitchenware; a table top attached to the wall along with 2 chairs; and even a small portable fan. There are drawers under the bed for storage. The bathroom is spacious and has a large wall mirror and heated towel rack. Rooms on upper floors have much stronger water pressure than the ground floor. Lots of natural lights. One of the windows is screened to prevent bugs from flying in. Biting midges can be an issue at night time during summer. We were lucky we didn't come across these bugs as the temperature was exceptionally cool during our visit. Wi-Fi works well. There are 4 parking spots at the bottom of the tower, clearly marked with each apartment number. The metal staircase that goes around the outside of the tower is non-slip but has open slats. Those who are scared of heights may want to pick the lower floors. The rooftop lounge, with windows all around, provides panoramic views of the surrounding area. It will be a great place to watch the northern lights while staying warm indoors. When people go up and down the metal staircase, the sound carries through the tower. It doesn't bother me, but it may be annoying to some. My daughter on the 4th floor said she could hear me talking from my 3rd floor room - something to be aware of. Overall, very happy with the stay and look forward to visiting again and staying longer!

We chose this place as our base for 2nights.The place had everything. Its like home. Very friendly owners.Thank you. We had an amazing stay, the auroras were amazing.
