Situated 37 km from Stykkishólmur, Drangar Country Guesthouse is located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and features a shared lounge. We liked everything from Drangar. I highly recommend a stay in there, so do not hesitate if you’re visiting the area, it’s well worth it! The hosts, Leana and Knútur were very helpful and gave us some tips about the best parts to visit, even before we got there. They made us feel like it was really our home, too, and I wish it was, as the architecture of the buildings is beautiful and no wonder that it’s won a prize in that field, precisely! The surroundings of the place make a perfect stay for you to enjoy this part of Iceland. In addition, we came with our almost 1-year-old child and they provided us with all the necessary things for him!! :)) He was compleltely covered. Each detail is thouroughly taken into account and I’d definetely come back if I’m in Iceland again.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner on our second evening. The selection and quality of fresh seafood and fish was amazing and very delicious. Definitely worth the money. They had a little play area for kids in the lobby which kept our son quite happy and busy.

Situated in Snæfellsbær in the West Iceland region, Lysuholl features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property has mountain and lake views. This was probably the best place my friend and I stayed at in Iceland. It was new, clean, perfect amount of space with a great layout, nice and secluded, great view, easy to find, the people were lovely, and the dog was adorable and friendly! Everything and more you could want from a place to stay! I wish everywhere was as nice, this place checked all of our boxes. We even were able to faintly see the northern lights.
