Homestay located in a very peacefull neighborhood, the room is clean and they have comfy communal space. Mas Jali and the team, Mbak Naya and Mas Dewo, are super friendly and helpful. Mas Jali even took me to the local flea market, hunting some old stuff, and we went on a walk to malioboro. The other thing I like on my stay here is I can meet other travelers from various place with various interesting stories.

The place was beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.

We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.

The staff really goes over their way to help you out. I'm so happy this was my first hostel in my trip to Indonesia. I loved everything, the room is clean, nice bads, spacious locker, good bathrooms, spacious showers (they say they don't have hot water, but the temperature of the water is super fine even without heating). The breakfast was delicious, the decorations and common rooms are super, but the staff really was just top. They even helped me with arranging the rest of my trip, even when I wasn't a host anymore.

"NOMORE" Gallery and Guesthouse is situated in the Kraton district of Yogyakarta, less than 1 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, a 13-minute walk from Fort Vredeburg and less than 1 km from Yogyakarta... Lala and Rolly were really lovely and helpful! Also delicious breakfast and very nice coffee.

Offering a garden and garden view, Bedhot Homestay is situated in Yogyakarta, 5.5 km from Museum Sonobudoyo and 5.9 km from Sultan's Palace. Absolutely beautiful place. But what was the best is the staff. Very friendly and helpful guys. If you need anything just ask them and they have always the answer for you (trips, tips, food, beer, whatever). They will go beyond and above to make you happy.

This is a place to stay where my niece and I felt like home. The staff were friendly and I was astonished with the cleanness of the room. We'll come back again, surely!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!
