What a gem of a place, I did expect it to be nice, but it’s beyond nice. It’s super beautiful both inside and outside. Interior is done tastely, keeping beautiful classic look but with modern parts where you need them. You feel like you’re in castle. The thing that bothered me before coming is a separate toilet but that just across the room, nothing to be worried about as it’s great as well. The room by itself is big and beautiful the kitchen area great as well.

You seek a quiet break, or a place to focus in the middle of nature, then look no further. I like the wooden floors! The breakfast was simple, fresh and tasty. Mine included a fried egg done in way that was so tasty. Compliments to the breakfast chef. This hotel restaurant has a Michelin star !!

If you do not mind to stay at someone’s apartment, Au petit bonheur is not a bad option. We stayed just one night in Colombier on our way from Zurich to Geneva. The owner Antonio is very pleasant gentleman, who keeps everything clean and tidy in his apartment. It is nicely decorated as well. The rented room is not small, bed is comfortable, private bathroom. One handy detail is a small mini-bar in the room, where you can buy some soft drinks, beer or wine. The price is just a little bit higher than in a supermarket. We were allowed to use the kitchen and balcony. Parking is available on request. The apartment block is located in a quiet location, kids playground is reachable within 1-2 min walking. We asked to prepare the breakfast pretty early and Antonio made it at 7 for us. The breakfast was very good - boiled eggs, croissants, coffee, cheeses, baguette, yoghurt, melon.

I got sick during my stay and the host offered to drive me to the pharmacy. The area is quiet and love see the cats & bunnies roaming in the garden. Kitchen is fully equipped. Definitely come back!
