The owner of the hotel met us at the door and welcomes us as if we were guests in her home. She was very sweet with my children and gave them treats. When one of my kids couldn't eat the treats due to his braces, she bought chocolate just for him and surprised him the following morning. The building is over 100 years old, but the rooms and bathrooms were tastefully renovated in the last year and very nice. We had two rooms and the top floor to ourselves. One of the rooms had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and full-length glass patio doors and windows. The room slept four and one of the beds was in a small room off the main room and accessible by a pocket door. Our daughter shared the room with us, but she was still able to have privacy.
