The host was very friendly and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were greeted with a smile and she answered all our questions without hesitation. Never did she feel that she had something more important to do. We took advantage of the offer to have dinner cooked for us. We were unsure of what to expect so we only wanted dinner for the first night. Wow! What we expected and what we got was exceptional. The food was good, the presentation exceptional so we booked dinner for the second night and again were pleasantly surprised. We couldn't have done better in a restaurant.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and very central. A great burger restaurant was nearby. It is not cheap, but the price was reasonable in comparison to other places.

Lamb Inn Öngulsstadir, habitació en una casa particular a Akureyri

Set on a former farm, this Öngulsstadir property has an outdoor hot tub offering views of the surrounding valley. All rooms feature a private bathroom and views of Eyjafjördur Fjord.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Lamb Inn as part of our trip to Iceland driving the ringroad. The location is great only a 10 minute drive from Akureyri but out in the countryside and a great place to relax. We really enjoyed the Icelandic breakfast with plenty of options, and the lamb for dinner was excellent, well worth having. Lovely to have the option of a dip in the hot tub and we quite liked just relaxing in the lobby with a book and a coffee. Highly recommended

Situated by Road 817, this guest house is 5 km north of Akureyri. It has free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, geothermal outdoor hot tub, along with views of Eyjafjordur Bay.

Cosy little cabin, more spacious than most hotel rooms we saw in Iceland. Fridge, electric kettle as well as supplies of tea and coffee. The parking is directly by the entrance which we really appreciated as we had quite some luggage. And the view was magnificent as well.
