It was the perfect base and experience of Machiya. We spent evenings relaxing looking at the snow falling in the garden - the underfloor heating was amazing keeping the house warm and cosy. The location was great for exploring the Samurai museum and other temples in the area. Highly recommend it - we will definitely stay again when we visit Kanazawa.

The house is in a great location, very close to Omicho market and the Castle park and we could easily walk there from the train station. It was a very lovely place with tatami floors and a wonderful kotatsu heated table, it was a great experience to put our legs under the warm blanket and under the table. The house is in a great location. The electric dish dryer was an interesting surprise.
