In the evenings we loved being able to sit next to the river with a fire sharing stories. After months in the tourist areas of the south it was nice to slow down and meet local Sri Lankans living their lives. We will definitely come back!

Breakfast was amazing. Pearl and Ranjan were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble. They organised a tuk driver for me and Ranjan even came to the train station on my departure. The room was perfect and the bed very comfortable. I would happily recommend this homestay - a perfect retreat.

The lodge had a beautiful and peaceful garden filled with trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary tools and appliances, including pots, pans, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.
