Surrounded by a scenic forest with mountain views, Kokoro no sato is located in Kamishihoro. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. Lake Nukabira is 6 minutes’ drive.

We stayed during spring and there were easy and beautiful walks along the river and to the nearby lake. The host kindly showed us on the map the nearby walks. We saw deers, foxes and birds along the walk. Very peaceful and lovely! It appears that we could be the only guests during our stay and we were given private use of both the indoor and outdoor Onsen during our 2 night stay. Communication with the hosts was through Google translate but it was easy and the hosts were very accommodating and kind when we were late for check in. There is a small convenience store run by a sweet elderly couple right across the street- sells basic snacks, ice cream and souvenirs.
