He told us about the city, landmarks, good restaurants, bakeries for breakfast /when necessary we used google translate, so - no communication problems/. The location is great. What a wonderful surprise we had booking into La Casetta Ronco, hosts Gio and Roberta were not only delightful but so very helpful in every way. On arrival they were waiting at the Bus Station to meet us and took us immediately to our house, plus picking us up and delivering us again with suitcases to the Train Station, for the departing journey to Messina. Our accommodation is in the quietest secluded and very safe area of Siracusa and centrally located to all the attractions of this Sicilian City. It is hard to describe the qualities of this couple and accommodation they are both exceptional, another added bonus for us was my pain in my back was killing me and after contacting Roberta at short notice, she had the delightful Mya come to my aide the very next morning without leaving our Casetta. If your looking for an extraordinary memory and experience look no further, this lovely couple go over above to make your stay one forever etched in your memory bank.

Excellent communications from the owner, who also provided suggestions for cafe/bakery/restaurants in the area and also in the old town. No problem getting free on street parking close to the apartment (there is a courtyard in the apartment block where you can park, but this was often full - we just parked on the streets surrounding the adjacent streets)

Immaculata greeted us with hugs and kisses upon arrival, gave us a full review of the apartment with all the interesting history, supplied us with special homemade treats and fresh fruit from her farm, and was available for any questions we had. The location was perfect for us to walk all around Ortigia and Siracusa! Our only regret was having only one night here. We will be back and would definitely return to stay here! Grazie!

Very clean, great location in central Ortigia with restaurants and shops and grocery store just steps away. Host was wonderful and communicated regularly, even with a last minute booking, Diego was very accommodating and helpful with information. Consistent hot water. House slippers and bottle of water provided. I was in a studio apartment great for a couple or solo travelers that also had a balcony and clothes line with a washer available. Breakfast at Cafe Archimedes by the fountain was also a wonderful treat and a great way to start the morning.
