The host left us complimentary cupcakes and snacks for our arrival, communication on checking was very clear. They brought extra logs for the fire almost immediately after we asked. The place was very clean and had everything we could need, hot tub was lovely. We had a brilliant time and our only regret is we couldn't stay longer

This holiday home is fitted with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a flat-screen TV, a seating area and 2 bathrooms equipped with a bath. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture.

Lovely location in the centre of Rhayader so very convenient for shopping or going out for meals. The house is set back from the road and so is very quiet. The area for parking is spacious and there was outdoor seating (suitable for meals outdoors) at both the front and back of the house. The house was very modern, nicely furnished and the kitchen facilities were excellent. The wifi worked really well too. Overall the house was outstanding value for money.

We has a lovely stay here. Cottage has everything you need. The location is rural, which we liked. The garden was secure which is what originally attracted us to the property (our dog is a little escape artist). We found the beds comfortable, and the cottage was cleaned to a high standard.

    The room was much better than I would expect for a b&b. It was very clean. The room had been well thought out - unlike some hotels! Sian was brilliant, very helpful and the breakfast was great! If I visit the area again, I will definitely return to The Bear.

    Gem of a B&B in a very nice part of Wales. Very clean and comfortable room. The jacuzzi bath was a wonderful treat after hiking in the elan valley. Really lovely breakfast. Friendly host. Can't wait to return!
