Firstly, the hosts are very welcoming and polite. We speak very little french but the hostess speaks German fluently, so for us, communicating with the hosts was not an issue. If you don't speak French nor German, well you need to hire someone to translate 😁 Secondly, the location is great. You are 10-20 minutes away from Calais or Wissant. You could also walk to Escalles village center or to the beach. You have a nice garden and there are fruits and vegetables that you can pick on your own and then let the hosts give you a price which you can then pay on the spot or at the end of the stay. Everything is grown without chemicals.

Located at just 500 meters from the beach entrance the location could not have been better for those seeking peace and quiet. Since it’s still off season the camping is closed and there for the bakery was as well. Next supermarket is 5 km away, so a car is necessary. The living room has a cheering fireplace and is great for chilling out at night.

It looked just as good as in the pictures. Lovely furnishings. Spacious, every possible amenity was provided. Great for a large group

Everything - the house is beautiful and practical and stuffed with board games and books, perfectly equipped kitchen, lovely terrace, blinds on all windows and as a young family with a 2yo we really really appreciated the freedom we had to enjoy our stay after the baby went to sleep (the ground floor is fantastic). Plus, the beach is 2 minutes away and Le Blanc Nez (restaurant) about 5’ walk.
