We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

They showed us their wonderful organic garden, told us the history of how it all started, shared their home made dessert and home grown fruits, let us taste their wines and even helped us with the laundry when we couldn't find any in Pinhao. One of those experiences in Douro valley I will never forget. Also they are pet friendly, have their own 2 cute dogs and our Luna felt at home there.

This is a very comfortable big room in the town centre of Vila Real, near restaurants, the river, and stores. Perfect if you want a quiet space as well. The room is big, and the mattress is very good. Because the rooms are on the top floor it's very quiet during the evening, you don't hear any noise from the streets.
