We had a phenomenal stay at Solar de St. André. We stayed for a week and were blown away by the standard of the accommodation and the fantastic hospitality. Eduarda and her team are brilliant and genuinely go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We were always made to feel welcome and were even invited to a nearby concert, which was excellent. Marina deserves a special mention as she not only prepared fab breakfasts each morning, but gave us local advice, recommendations and just nice chit chat! Our room - the blue room - had everything we needed, super clean, well appointed and quiet. Comfortable bed. The hotel is like a museum, everything is charming and quaint but also modern and well-finished. Breakfast selection was always great, local produce and coffee always on hand . We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place.

Boasting a shared lounge, terrace and views of sea, Garoupas Inn is set in Ponta Delgada, 500 metres from São Roque Beach. Everything was amazing. On our first day, we went in early to drop our bags. The hosts offered us breakfast and said we could wait until our checkout time in the lounge area. They were the kindest people. They even told us about the attractions we should visit and the best routes to get there. Were above and beyond our expectations.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, CC Guest House - "Ao Mercado" is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Ponta Delgada, 13 km from Pico do Carvao. The room is large and comfortable. Air conditioning works exceptionally well. Free parking lot very close by, and very close to popular restaurants. Staff is very kind and welcoming.

Situated in Ribeira Grande and within 300 metres of Ponte dos Oito Arcos, Matriz Guest House has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. We had a perfect stay in Rossana and Eduardo's home. They made sure we were comfortable every day. The breakfast is amazing with all these homemade jams and cakes they make. The room was very big and comfortable, and everything was clean. Overall I would repeat again :)
