Clean and spacious room with a view of Pico from my window. They let me check in early (at 9:30am when my flight got in!) and my room was already ready, which was wonderful. Also helped with getting a taxi to take me to the beginning of my hike. Wish I could have stayed an extra day to enjoy it all, but it was beautiful!

Tropical Fruit Garden is a detached holiday home, located in a quiet spot in the southern part of São Jorge Island, in Azores. The fresh fruit and greens! The passionate owners/gardeners. Having a washing machine.

Caldeira Guesthouse is situated in Calheta, 100 metres from the Atlantic Ocean, in the Azorean São Jorge Island. I loved everything about this house and my stay here. It is located in an absolutely beautiful place and the green colors surrounding it is something that has to be seen in person as pictures does not do it justice. The house has amazing views, my room was nice and clean and had a very comfortable bed and I had the best night of sleep I have had in a long time. I opted to have breakfast and dinner the two days I was there and both were great and you got to meet and talk to the other people that was staying there. The staff was lovely and David was very helpful and welcoming. This place made me feel so at peace and happy and it did wonders to my soul. The hikes in the area was amazing with spectacular views and to just sit and watch and listen to the ocean brought me so much joy. I did not want to leave and I actually had a chance to get a free ride to the airport but chose not to take it so I could stay an hour and half longer and I'm not a rich person and normally conservative with money. It was so worth it.

Casa Do Antonio is just 100 metres from Velas Port, offering spacious rooms with cable TV and free tea and coffee for guests. Rooms boast views across Pico Island, the sea or the port. Antonio was really nice and waited for me until midnight because the ferry was late. It is a 3 minutes walk from the port wich was very convinient as I arrived late. The view from my room on Pico and the church was veeeery pretty in the morning. And the breakfast was simple but good with various breads. . Will definitely recommend this place for someone arriving late by the ferry or want to stay a few days in Velas.

The place exceeded our expectations simply because of its host Rui! Maybe the room is a bit too small but Rui is a gem! He suggested some very best sport to visit on Sao Jorge, helped to solve return time issue with car rental company, suggested few really nice restaurants and even booked few taxi rides for us. We simply forgot about all the small inconveniences in the house, becase Rui made us spend a great time in Sao Jorge and if you read this, Rui, thank you very much!

AzoresDream is set in Velas in the São Jorge Island Region, 41 km from Horta. The rooms come with a TV with satellite channels. AzoresDream features free WiFi . Very pleasant private room with shower & WC.

Quinta Do Canavial is located in São Jorge Island and features sweeping views over the green areas of the island and of the Atlantic Ocean. The unit includes an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.... The view was amazing - we even saw dolphins from the bedroom - and the staff always helpful and nice. All around, the place was very enjoyable.

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. The large sliding glass doors allowed for exceptional views looking over Velas and the surrounding mountains from every room. Breakfast was the typical buffet style. All in all This a great place to stay in São Jorge.
