Overall my family and I had a wonderful experience and I'd recommend this hotel.

Paola is a gem, she personally helped my father in law enter the water, who is really weak and has a hard time to walk, helped us get a cake and helped us out in every situation. The place has cool tours to offer with señor Milton. Lastly i met my amigo Totoro there who is the best doggy out there, a real Piraña with a heart of gold and the mind of a hunter. The beach was very nice the owner was very helpful she arranged a tour for me with a couple staying at the hotel to save a little money also gave me an upgraded room. Wilmer, Vicki and the kids are a wonderful family and very accommodating. They can prepare meals for you if you request them and I had Vicki’s ceviche, which was amazing. If you want to cook there is a kitchen with a two ring hob, fridge and cooking utensils, as well as a coffee machine. Note that the tap water is not drinkable (which is the case all over Peru), so make sure that you bring or buy bottled water. You can also get a bottle from the hostel or there are plenty of shops in town. Even though I speak very little Spanish, we got by well with google translate, and I was able to understand and make myself understood.
