Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

La Sirenita - Ometepe er staðsett í Altagracia, 6,2 km frá Maderas-eldfjallinu og býður upp á garð, bar og fjallaútsýni. The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Bananas Guest House Private Room er staðsett í Altagracia og býður upp á gistingu með setusvæði. Lovely stay at the middle of banana plantations!

Hostal tortuga viajera er staðsett í Moyogalpa á Ometepe-svæðinu og er með garð. Gististaðurinn er með sameiginlegt eldhús og lautarferðarsvæði. Eric the receptionist is a legend. They did my washing for cheap and we're very helpful overall. The hostel had a good vibe too!

Hostal Así er staðsett í Balgue, 12 km frá Maderas-eldfjallinu. Tiemi Tierra býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og verönd. Gististaðurinn er með garðútsýni. Charmingly decorated property with a lot of greenery. We had a lovely private cabin with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Lots of friendly animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hostal Bullhákarl er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús með garði og fjallaútsýni en það er staðsett í Cuatro Esquinas, 16 km frá Maderas-eldfjallinu. Tatiana was the best of host, she deserve a medal, she oriented us to the best activities, Location to eat, and she rented us scooter at the best price. the chicken bus allows to go everywhere from just the front of the hostel to the rest of Ometepe: what a place !

Guest House Nena er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús í Moyogalpa þar sem gestir geta nýtt sér garðinn og veröndina. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….
