By the way, breakfasts cooked by host's mom are extremely delicious and very generous, so we even took a little with us. Host is a very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate, he helped us to book a safari. And of course it is very close to go to safari from here, only 15 minutes in the car, which will take you from hotel (and host will give you some snacks to go). Important to say that wi-fi and shower are perfect, which is not so easy to find on Sri-Lanka. Would definitely recommend!

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. This is a hidden gem in the area. We travelled from Canada and decided to go by what other travellers had said and glad we stayed here. The staff found out it was our anniversary and went out of their way to decorate our room - a lovely touch. The place is clean, the room was pristine, the breakfast is good and the staff are excellent. The hotel has its own safari jeep and we organized everything with them, it was probably the best thing we did. We’d go back.

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Tree House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. A continental breakfast is available daily at the guesthouse. The Mango Tree House is a very beautiful place. Everything was very clean and the outdoor shower was very special. We received some cake and tea when we checked in. We directly felt welcome. The breakfast was also very delicious and good!

Great bed with a mosquito net, fan, shower and awesome balcony to sit on and watch the elephants go by! We did the safari with them and loved it so much! Was such an amazing experience! You can order whichever meals you please and it was always a feast!

Offering a barbecue and views of the garden, green view safari resort is located 8 km from Udawalawe National Park. Excellent room with very friendly and helpful staff. The garden in which the hotel is located is beautiful.

Offering a children's playground, Buddika Safari & Resort is located in Udawalawe. Free private parking is available on site. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They provided really delicious dinner and lunch for us because there are no restaurants nearby. You do not need to book a safari in advance because they can arrange one for you whenever you like to! We booked a double room and even got a room for three so there was enough space, we even had a terrace to chill and some chairs in front of our room to relax. We forgot to take enough cash with us, so they offered to take us to the next ATM and on the way they showed us a little bit around. All in all it was a really nice stay!

Very clean and incredible, friendly service. I did two Uda Walawe safaris. Night and day difference. The one Mansala arranged was far better than the one arranged from Galle.
