Offering a garden and garden view, Thomasha Homestay & Tuk Tuk Service is set in Wellawaya, 6.9 km from Buduruwagala Temple and 26 km from Ella Rock. Family was wellcoming us like our own. Home made dinner were so delicious. Also we had an oportunity to spend time with his family and serve food for the monks in the temple. These memories we will never forget, this all experience was so so special. I reccomend to everybody who wants to spend chill time outside of touristic Ella.

Our so far favourite place where we stayed! Great location, 30 min car ride from the Yala National Park. They organized a driver for the tour and prepared yummy take away breakfast for us! The staff was so helpful and kind, we especially liked manager Cassim who made sure that we felt really comfortable! We had two dinners and one breakfast and everything was really delicious, the place was clean and beds really comfortable. The room also has fan and AC - we don’t like AC but the silent fan ensured that we slept very well! The place has amazing views over the fields, beautiful garden, place to exercise, as I said, our favourite place so far!

Boasting garden views, Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Buduruwagala Temple. I had a big comfortable bed, in a nice clean room with a bathroom. I loved the peace and quiet as the place is surrounded by trees so you literally sleep in the middle of the forest. The host Michael is sweet beyond words. The moment I opened my door a mug of fresh hot coffee with some yummy pastries were waiting for me served on the sunny porch. I will be returning that’s for sure. Thank you Michael🙏

Offering a garden and lake view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. The hosts were very welcoming when I arrived in the night- there was a really nice juice on arrival and the daughter Nithya was helpful in recommending places to visit in Kataragama and in organising a safari in Yala. Meals were great (including take away breakfast during safari), everything was clean and there was AC in the bedroom. There’s also a bicycle to use to get around in. Would highly recommend a night here if you plan to explore Yala national park.

Really special atmosphere, peace love kind of life in a small land with little monkeys playing around and peacocks, squirells and more. If you need a break between the Nortern area and the Coastal area it is the best place. Yala safaris are available!

Set in Kataragama, Safari Lodge Yala provides a restaurant and garden views, 2.3 km from Kataragama Temple and 16 km from Lunugamvehera National Park. Complimentary WiFi is provided. We had a lovely stay at safari lodge and a amazing safari , Good food , clean room and a nice environment, Safari they offered was so nice ! Our guide was top and not to pushing driving around the animals We saw 6 leopards and so many elephants, it was amazing!

Situated in Kataragama in the Monaragala District region with Kataragama Temple nearby, Dinesh Guest House features accommodation with free private parking. The entire Guests House was super nice. Very closer to the Kataragama temple as well. The owner Mr. Dinesh and his wife were very helpful. We will visit once again to this awesome place. We definitely recommend this guests house.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

Located close to nature, The Summer Corridor – Kataragama is a pet friendly property situated 30 km from Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. The staff is friendly and supportive. Nice and peaceful location. The interior, linens and other things are clean.
