Hakuna matata is like a second home, you don’t feel like in a guesthouse but rather with a second family. Billie - the host - is amazingly helpful and organises tons of cool activities for the guests (e.g. lagoon tour, jungle safari, barbecue nights). Mama prepares delicious and always different breakfasts every day at every hour to accomodate your (surfing) schedules. The place is surrounded by plants and trees which make it even more laidback. Will definitely come back. For surfers, it’s a 20m walk to main point.

Nisha and her brother are amazing people and received us very well. We chatted for hours and she shared with us her nightmare during the 2004 tsunami, a true warrior; Location is excellent, only 3min walking from the beach and also near some restaurants; The hammock in front of the room brings a special charm, the only place we found with this in Sri Lanka; Wifi worked perfectly; Nisha cooks very well and each day we had a different type of breakfast. The sri lankan style one was the best for me; In summary this was one of our favorite places during the trip

Beach Cab Resort is set in Arugam Bay, 70 metres from Arugam bay surf point, 2.4 km from Muhudu Maha Viharaya and 11 km from Magul Maha Viharaya. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful! Lovely location - close to town but still quiet at night. Rooms are a nice size with air-conditioner and fans. Really enjoyed my stay here :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money.

They always find a way how to make me breakie even I have a lot of food restrictions(gluten free and vegetarian). Perfect location - 3 minutes to the beach but calm side road. The room has everything you need.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ocean Bliss! The room was nice and clean. Would recommend to everyone to go here. Harsha and his family are amazing and very helpful. And… next to the beach!! 30 seconds walk and you’re at the beach ready to surf, chill or swim! So happy that I have stayed there.

Set 200 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Hilltop House offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. Great location close to Main Street and the beach which is very helpful as getting tuk tuk out of the main area can be somewhat overwhelming. Quiet area close to amazing cafe (Shady Lane) and dinner spot (Emily’s). Theepan is very accomodating, helpful and welcoming - always responded promptly to any requests. Couldn’t recommend Hilltop House enough!

Boasting garden views, Starfish Cabbana offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach. We loved our stay at Starfish Cabanas, Tari and his team made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast food was delicious. Tari accompanied us throughout our stay with useful tips for our trip to Arugam Bay. Very well located, close to the beach. The setting and garden were very pleasant. Thank you very much!
