The guesthouse is a big tatami room above the family restaurant with a shower and toilet downstairs The futons were the comfiest we’ve had in Japan and loved the little blinds divider so we could separate the kids and adults at night, like 2 little rooms. No cooking facilities as such but had access to hot water and a microwave. Good hot shower and heat pump kept us warm in the cold winter days. Great stay, highly recommend

Free shuttle service is available upon prior request from the property to Kawaguchiko Station. This hostel is simply epic. You can find everything you might need. Even though the facilities are shared, it is very clean and comfortable. Great vibe, cosy and spacious living room. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. A restaurant is located a 3-minute walk away from the accommodation. Keisuke and Marino are incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts/owners. You can feel the love and care they've poured into Murabito Guesthouse with everything ranging from the bunk beds, bilingual guide books and map of Yamanakako they've made themselves, to all the photos showing their past travels on display in the shared living space. Murabito is conveniently located to many amenities whether they be bus stops used by local buses or ones going towards Tokyo and Shizuoka. Or local eateries and grocery stores. It's a little gesture but being welcomed back after returning from a day of travel was a very refreshing thing and added to the experience. Will definitely be back in the future.
