Shogo made so many excellent suggestions that Gojo became one of our favorite stops on a multi-week Japanese visit. His accommodation, in an atmospheric, traditional part of town, was clean, well organized and super comfortable. Our room on the second floor had a fabulous view out to the mountains that was a joy to wake up to. The shared kitchen downstairs had everything we needed for eating in or making coffee. The river walk park was a great way to get up or gear down every day. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Shogo, for a wonderful stay.

The beds were big and comfortable, and I slept well in the shared bunk room. Overall an amazing experience staying here, a highlight of my trip to Japan!

It offers massages, bicycle rental and free Wi-Fi throughout. The World Heritage registered Nara Park is a 10-minute walk away. It’s a beautiful house with great rooms and a very friendly atmosphere. The owner is very kind and welcoming! The location is great for exploring Nara. We loved Nara, both for cozy Naramachi and the beautiful nature and temples, especially in the upper parts of Nara park. Bike rental from the guesthouse was also great!

I also enjoyed the host, Jerome, showing me the garden and allowing me to pick vegetables with him to cook. The place is well stocked with needed amenities, and the host did a great job explaining how it all works. Next time I'm in Japan I will try to come back to Nara just to stay here!
