Beautiful artistic vibe of the place, stunning view of Sakurajima. Love the room decor and atmosphere of the whole building - was a little jarring at first, but the longer I was there, there more appreciative of the little details and the work rhats gone in. It was like staying in an art gallery.

Situated in Yakushima and only 700 metres from Isso Beach, 屋久杉楼 七福 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great place to stay! Easy to reach by bus. Very beautifull building right next to the beach. Our room was very big, kitchen area was clean and a nice place to hang out. The coffee was nice as well. Barbara is a very friendly and kind host who helps with all of your questions!

Kami House er staðsett í Amami, 2 km frá Asani-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Everything! Really lovely and helpful hosts and the house is very beautiful and clean. I also recommend eating Keihan as a breakfast there, it's a delicious local dish. When I return to Amami, I will definitely stay here again ♥️

Yakushima Park Guesthouse er staðsett í Yakushima, í innan við 10 km fjarlægð frá Shiratani Unsuikyo og 23 km frá Miyanoura-fjalli. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic Hidekazu-san was as a host. He was invaluable in offering tips and suggestions for my 2 night stay on Yakushima island. The location was quite centrally as well in the Miyanoura town area. This guesthouse is a renovated standard Japanese home but it had all the amenities that one could hope for. My shoes were completely soaked from hiking Yakushima but staff there helped me dry out overnight.

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. Super hospitable owners, incredible food experience - thank you for the opportunity to try Japanese breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed our stay!

Guest room Halemakana er staðsett í nokkurra skrefa fjarlægð frá Higashi-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með svölum. Wonderful place in such a great environment. The hosts are so nice and welcoming. The decoration is great. The sea view is stunning. You even have a room with a micro wave when you can snack if need be. Several shops around and great places to eat. It is close to a bus stop too and in 30 min you are in Naze the capital. There is a place closeby where you can have a massage too. We absolutly loved it. Thank you so much.

Guesthouse Coco Garage er gististaður í Kirishima, 5,8 km frá Kirishima Jingu-helgiskríninu og 19 km frá Ebino-hásléttunni. Þaðan er útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Það er staðsett í 15 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Yakushima-flugvelli. La Isla Tasse er heillandi gistirými í stóru höfðingjasetri í amerískum stíl. I loved this place. It’s a beautiful house, beautifully located next to the lake, close to restaurants, close to a busstop. Mainly: the hosts are incredibly friendly ♥️ order the breakfast you wont regret. They can make it vegetarian on request.

Tomarigi er í 3 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Yakushima-flugvelli og býður upp á koju í svefnsal, garð með hengirúmi og ókeypis WiFi. It was the perfect place for my stay in Yakushima!! The host is the kindest and has so many tips and informations for Yakushima and how to get around the island, it was very helpful (especially with the bus timetables). She's the sweetest and will definitively make you feel at home in Tomarigi. She can also cook you her handmade onigiris when you go for a hike and I have to be honest, they're the best onigiris I had in Japan so far! The place is very well equipped, the bed are comfortable and the traditional japanese bathtub is really a plus, that was great after a long day of hiking. You can cook with a well equipped outdoor kitchen and do your laundry for free. It's very calm and quiet (yes, the airport is nearby but I've never heard the few planes take off or land, which was a pleasant surprise) and there are drugstores and bus stops nearby. Plus you can buy bus tickets at the air airport/information center so really, it's a great emplacement. I really, really loved the ambiance inside Tomarigi, this place really have a soul of its own and when I stayed there for three weeks, I really felt at home. I would totally recommend this place, for a long or short term stay.
