Words could not describe how amazing was our experience. Since we arrived, Bryan welcomed us with a very big smile and kindness. The food, the location, the room, everything was perfect and way beyond our expectations. The jungle trekking with the staff of Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey was anonther level of perfection. Rachid and Gunawan were more than professional and helpful during the whole trip, big thanks to them. The trek was wonderful, the food also was so delicious , the lunch and the dinner in the camp where we had a special member of the team who cooked for us traditional dishes. We highly recommend both the guesthouse and the trip in the jungle with this super team. Thank you a lot for this lifetime memorable experience.

It is just great! The family makes you feel at home and nothing is too much to help you. I can really recommend staying here!

Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa ligger i Bukit Lawang och har en trädgård, en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. Boendet erbjuder rumsservice och gratis WiFi. The best part of the property is the staff. Owner, Tyson welcomed me explained everything needed. A young lady working at the cafe (Diza, sorry if I mistaken the name)made me one of the best meals in Indonesia I’ve ever tried. Sweet dog and cat were also welcoming and slept under my room’s door at night.The room was simple but very clean with beautiful garden setting. The location is a little bit out of town, but walkable and very quiet. Tyson also organized a jungle trek for me and that was also very good. We saw 8 orangutans)

SeaGate Bungalows ligger precis stranden i Sabang och har en trädgård och en egen strand. Det finns en terrass och gäster har tillgång till gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. The bungalow is conveniently located outside the town, but it is very easy to reach with a taxi. Borja and Yunyun are very kind and always happy to help you and give you a lot of interesting tips on where to eat and on secrets spots around the island. They also have scooters to rent at the bungalow and can organize the transport to the harbour. The staying at their bungalow was the highlight of my vacations

Juma cottages ligger i Tuk Tuk och erbjuder boende med trädgård, terrass och restaurang. På Juma cottages är alla rum utrustade med balkong. The room is huge with a great view of the lake from the balcony. The property and gardens are very pretty and well maintained. Owner and staff were very friendly.

Bua Guest House ligger i Medan, 9,3 km från Great Mosque, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Bua is very friendly and helpfull, good fresh food and comfy bed! Nice garden also!

Romlan erbjuder 3-stjärnigt boende vid stranden i Tuk Tuk och har trädgård, gemensam lounge och restaurang. Utöver rumsservice har detta boende även en solterrass. En av de bästa ställen jag varit på under min snart tre månaders resa genom Asien! Boendet ligger centralt till, erbjuder allt man behöver! Otroligt fina rum, välstädat och oerhört prisvärt.

Fun Family Guest House n Jungle Tour ligger i Bukit Lawang. Detta pensionat med 2 stjärnor har ett gemensamt kök och bagageförvaring. Gästerna kan njuta av utsikten över floden. The room supplied the basics plus a mosquito net and was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and I was never too hot. The tour was astounding. Although there is no guarantee to see animals, it’s almost certain that you will. I saw 10 orangutans on the first day of my two day one night trek, including two completely wild ones which are difficult to find. I also saw many other species of mammals including the white gibbon and pig tailed monkey. Another rare find was a very large tortoise. The hotel owner and tour guide is very generous and welcoming, makes sure you are looked after and comfortable, and ensures a good time. This is the tour guide that you want. He is the one who guides the park rangers. He will take you to locations other tourists don’t go and you will spend the first night in a location away from the other camps that has a waterfall and very nice pool in the river to reward yourself with after a long hot trek. I highly recommend this hotel and tour guide. You will not regret it. If you have the time and money, definitely choose to do the longer treks. The guide/hotel owner also helped set up my transportation to and from Bukit Lawang and helped me plan the rest of my trip.
