Hostal Blood Moon está en Río Dulce, a 4,9 km de Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. This was an emergency stop, which I had not planned and the place felt great, I arrived around 8 pm and could get a very good rest after 15 hours of traffic jams. Very nice shower, comfy beds, free water refill. It looks like a really nice hostel, I am glad I stumbled upon it. If I revisit the region I would stay here again.

Casa Manatí está en Lívingston, en la región de Izabal, a pocos pasos de Playa de la ribera del río Dulce. Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.
