A mile from Salisbury city centre, this 4-star (AA) B&B is in its own beautiful gardens, well situated on the A36 for Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Old Sarum and Longleat. We had the 1 bedroom “appartement” which was very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was also really comfy. We were traveling as a family with our 2 years old boy and everything was nicely arranged in advance (the cot was in the bedroom and a high chair was waiting for him before we arrived at breakfast!). Talking about breakfast, we had an absolute feast with some lovely locally sourced products and a fantastic English breakfast. And finally, the hosts were really nice and accommodating.

Located in Zeals and with Longleat Safari Park reachable within 19 km, The Bell & Crown provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. The room was outstanding. Roomy, clean, comfortable beds, opening windows with cushioned seats in them, and an exceptional bathroom. Coffee and tea making facilities that included fresh coffee and a press, as well as a thermos with milk. Very friendly people, good food, although, due to a busy Sunday the Cheeseburger was sold out, but that always makes me happy as they then do not come out of a freezer. Breakfast was perfect. Many choices, even up to a Bloody Mary if you are in need of one :-) Location right next to a road (hey, it is an inn...), ample parking and very close to Stourhead House. Also an easy couple of hours from Dover which makes it a nice target for your first or last night in Britain.

Offering a shared lounge and inner courtyard view, The Old House Guest House is situated in Salisbury, 1.2 km from Salisbury Train Station and 2.5 km from Salisbury Cathedral. Our room was spacious, well appointed, fresh and clean. The bathroom was of a high standard, with a lovely large shower and hot water in an instant. Great kitchenette facilities in the room also, and onsite parking was great. Hilary greeted us warmly and was the perfect host with a lovely breakfast to finish our stay.

Situated in Swindon, 7 km from Coate Water Country Park, Helen Browning's Royal Oak is a pet-friendly, dining pub with rooms and boasts a children's playground and terrace. Excellent room, excellent food, excellent staff. In a word - really good.

Featuring free WiFi, The Dog & Gun Inn is an accommodation in Netheravon, 10 km from Stonehenge. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Great little hotel with amazing, friendly staff. The rooms are quite large and comfy. We were welcomed with cookies and there was tea and coffee in the room. The shower and bath were so nice, quite modern and super clean. We checked in after exploring the little towns around Stonehenge and decided to stay in for dinner. We were silly and didn’t make a reservation, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Make sure to book your table! We all had delicious pizzas, sides and wine, the most perfect ending to a day of exploring and getting lots of steps in! We were served by the most loveliest staff. Lisa, Amy and - apologies as I didn’t ask for her name- a dark haired lady were always professional, fun and friendly. Lisa took the time to explain to us how to get to Stonehenge easily. We only stayed for one night and left early to walk to Stonehenge, but took advantage of the breakfast and it was absolutely gorgeous. So many delicious options! What a great hotel! Very impressed with the facilities, staff and great food. If you had any doubts about booking, this is your sign to go ahead and confirm it. It will exceed your expectations as it did mine!

Situated in Bradford on Avon, 11 km from University of Bath, The George features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️
