This is such a little gem! We stayed in Room 5. Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

Absolutely EVERYTHING! We were in town for a concert May 2023, and staying at South Shore Guest House was like visiting godparents on a school holiday - warm, welcoming, cozy, and caring. The best part was our hostess Lorraine’s charming stories over the hearty homemade breakfasts that she and her husband prepared for all the guests each morning. The town of South Shields is a dreamy, friendly community by the sea, and this B&B is in the perfect spot for strolling to and fro from the diverse restaurants & stores to the excellent dog watching at the pier. Also, super convenient to find from the train station. I can’t recommend a stay there enough; 10/10.

Hoppers Cottage Guest House er 3 stjörnu gististaður í Gateshead, 2,1 km frá MetroCentre og 6,7 km frá Utilita Arena. Good location for an event we were attending at the Rugby Club. Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.

This Gold Award winning family-run guest house offers bed and breakfast accommodation overlooking Whitley Bay Park and 400 metres from the sandy beach. Everything was of the highest standard and comfort. The attention paid to our particular travel restrictions made all the difference to our stay. We highly recommend the York House Hotel if you are visiting Whitley Bay! Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to return.
