The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.

The bathroom with giant tub and underfloor heating is amazing.

Dating back to 1604, Ashfield House offers luxurious rooms, country cooking and a walled garden. Lynne and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. They offer so many personal and thoughtful touches, Ashridge House really does feel like a home from home. The breakfasts are simply amazing.....a huge choice, perfectly cooked and presented, honestly didn't need to eat again until dinner time. The location of the property in the heart of the village is perfect and the private parking area is a huge bonus. The seating area in the glorious garden is a lovely spot to relax and unwind.
