The Glen Guest House 1-bedroom guest house with free parking ligt in Fyfield, op 22 km van Treinstation Stansted Mountfitchet, 23 km van Hylands Park, en 29 km van Metrostation Woodford. Stayed for 2 nights 21 to 23 September What's there not to like? My stay was exceptional. The place itself has a cottage like vibe. It has everything you need and the decor, features etc is very high spec. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave etc. A TV with "proper" channels including netflix, very comfortable indeed. Lesley is on hand to answer and help with any questions or queries about the area and things to do. Plus they also offer a very reasonable, very flexible taxi service. Tiptop!!! The cottage is warm and cosy. It is set back in an area surrounded by beautiful green land and in a garden with lovely garden furniture and ample seating areas. It really has the best backdrop. There is also a fully equipped gym which I had the opportunity to use, very considerate to open it up for guests. The hosts have thought about everything you may need for a comfortable getaway. They were brilliant hosts, Lesley and Pat, their welcome was more like going to stay with friends for the weekend! The nicest people you would ever want to meet, hands on, making sure you're comfortable, super pleasant, engaging and just really really nice folks. I highly recommend the Glen Adorable... the name says it all!

The Lodge ligt in Little Clacton, op 50 km van Freeport Braintree en 15 km van Alresford, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en gratis privéparkeren. Prima plek om een nacht te verblijven ( vlak bij de boot terug ) Is heel schoon, prima bed en van alle gemakken voorzien

Edelweiss Guest House is gelegen in Southend-on-Sea, op 3 minuten lopen van Thorpe Bay Beach, en biedt gratis WiFi en versneld in- en uitchecken. Great location a few steps away from the beach. Bus stop into town just around the corner. Close to several places to eat and drink. Lovely clean room - spotless - and tea coffee and milk left in the room too along with the necessary bathroom bits. The host Zara was very helpful and had left nothing to chance. Would happily stay here again - recommended.

Viva Guest House bevindt zich in Clacton-on-Sea in de regio Essex, dicht bij Clackton Beach. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Geweldig verblijf gehad in Viva Guesthouse. Aan het begin en aan het eind van onze rondreis, hebben wij hier overnacht. Kirk, de gastheer, is uitermate gastvrij. De kamer was tip-top in orde. Schoon, fijne douche en geweldig bed. Met oog voor detail is het guesthouse ingericht. Verzorgt een heerlijk (Engels) ontbijt (1e overnachting). Na onze 2e overnachting moesten wij om 6.00 a.m. vertrekken. Kirk stelde uit zichzelf voor om een ontbijt voor onderweg te maken. Ook daarbij hadden we de keus wat we op ons broodje wilden. Een fantastisch ontbijt stond klaar waarbij aan alles gedacht was. Ook Kirk stond klaar om ons een goede reis te wensen. Wat een fantastische man.

Ivy Todd cottage bevindt zich in Debden, op 6,5 km van Audley End House en 13 km van Treinstation Stansted Mountfitchet, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. We loved everything about our stay. Big thank you to our hosts for making our last night in the UK super cozy, comfortable and tasty. :-) In the morning it was just 20 mins drive to Stansted airport, no traffic. All was great.

Old Thatch Bambers Green ligt in Takeley, op 5 km van Hatfield Forest. Het biedt versneld in- en uitchecken, anti-allergene kamers, gratis fietsen, gratis WiFi en een tuin. The house was wonderful, the owner was sooo nice and helped us with everything we needed to know, we had a wonderful walks in the woods nearby

Victoria Villa Guesthouse bevindt zich in Clacton-on-Sea, op 3 minuten lopen van Clackton Beach, en biedt een tuin, rookvrije kamers, en gratis WiFi. Amazing cooked to order breakfast. I was in a small single room with shared bathroom which is perfect if you are on a budget. 10 minute walk to the train station and 1 minute to the beach, shops, busses, pier, arcades etc. There are also large rooms for families and couples.

CARIS Guest House ligt in Southend-on-Sea. Het ligt op 2 minuten lopen van de kust en op 400 m van Adventure Island, Marine Parade en Southend Pier, de langste pier ter wereld. Brilliant stay, Carol was so wonderful and accommodated all my needs quickly

Het Alma Inn & Dining Rooms beschikt over gratis WiFi en een restaurant. Het biedt huisdiervriendelijke accommodaties naast de pier in Harwich, op 400 meter van het stadscentrum. The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!
