My partner and I stayed at here while we explored San Gil and it was fantastic - not only are the facilities clean and well-run but the staff are absolutely lovely. Our hostess Silvia taught us how to make arepas for the first time and we were always getting for recommendations on where to go next from the staff. There is a lot of effort put into making this hostel feel like a community space and to top it all off the beds are the most comfortable I’ve encountered in a hostel!

Es un hostal bonito, lleno de zonas comunes para descansar y pasar tiempo con otra gente. Además está súper bien ubicado, en el centro y cerca de la estación de buses. Lo lleva una familia súper acogedora que siempre te recibe con una sonrisa. Muchas gracias por todo, estuvimos genial!

La ubicación es buena, el sitio es agradable. No tomamos el servicio de desayuno en el Hostel. El aseo del lugar es bueno. Los espacios muy agradables.

Jane and Felipe are the perfect hosts. They are generous, extremely hospitable and have the biggest hearts. The meals are the best we had in Colombia. The accompanying salads with our meals are bigger in portions than the salads we ordered at restaurants. Great location to hang out and relax for as long as we wanted. Quite possibly the best place we stayed and we have been travelling for the last two years.

El SANTANDER ALEMAN HOSTEL se encuentra en San Gil y ofrece alojamiento con jardín y terraza. Everything! If we could give a higher rating, we would. The house was beautiful with a nice terrace on the top with view over the mountains. Our room was great too, with nice sheets, a good mattress and a big bathroom with hot water. But what made it into something special was the good care of our host Alicia. She was so helpful and accommodating and made us a super nice breakfast every morning. We cannot thank her enough! We were really sad to leave this lovely place. ❤️
