We booked our canyoning tour through the hostel which was really easy and a great trip. The hostel itself was very clean, probably one of the cleanest kitchens we've used in our 6 month trip in South America. The room was also very clean/comfy with a fan. The location was great and very central close to supermarket, main plaza and restaurants.

Our hostess Silvia taught us how to make arepas for the first time and we were always getting for recommendations on where to go next from the staff. There is a lot of effort put into making this hostel feel like a community space and to top it all off the beds are the most comfortable I’ve encountered in a hostel!

But I found more than that - a home away from home. Jane and Felipe are the wonder couple who make you feel special and like family from the moment you arrive. I intended to stay here for a week and left after 3. Everything from cleanliness, the food pets, and music and everything else about La Hacienda is just magical. I am leaving absolutely refreshed and recharged, and still wish I didn't have to leave.
