Very good continental breakfast with sweet and salty options, fruit, tea and coffee. Hosts were really kind and flexible with check in and check out times. The rooms on the top floor can only be reached via stairs (not a problem for us, but people with reduced mobility might want to ask for a ground floor room).

Our stay at Guesthouse De Wissen was amazing! We had a very peaceful time there. Self check-in, super comfortable bed, the room had nice light during the day and was very dark to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed, including condiments and oil to cook. We loved having a dishwasher so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Also the decoration was really pretty. Outside we had a nice view of the lake and we could reach easily Hoge Kempen with our car, just in 10 minutes. Since it is a rather small place, you could hear noise coming from the kitchen which can be annoying at sleeping hours. But the owners are super friendly, responsive and helpful in case other guests are making a lot of noise outside.

Absolutely beautiful little annex. Very spacious. Warm and cosy. Perfect set up. Very safe. Hanne was very informative. Communication was great. Helped communicate with locals when we experienced a language barrier. Hanne was very flexible with out check in and check out and it went very smoothly. Overall amazing wee place and would love to return in the future.
