Very personal... Having filter coffee in the room, little welcome treats on the bed and refreshment upon arrival.... They have off-grid facilities which is essential during load shedding. Rooms are clean, beautiful decor and beds are comfortable. Breakfast freshly made with super friendly service. Gave me a sense of peaceful atmosphere. Loved it.

We once again chose Candlewoods Guesthouse as the location is perfect for us to visit family before we fly from ORT Airport. We find the safety and security excellent, the rooms and other facilities exceptional and the staff very friendly and efficient. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and everything is of a very high standard. Breakfast was superb, we'll be using Candlewoods again.

I checked in late at around 7:40pm and the host, Leon, was awaiting my arrival and was friendly and welcoming, even at this hour. The venue and room were exceptionally well furnished, with a feeling of homeliness and simultaneously giving the impression of a 5-star art filled castle in the middle of a countryside. Finishes are of exceptional quality and the room itself was large with a mini fridge and microwave. A clothes iron was also thoughtfully left outside my door. Breakfast was an offering of 4 great hot meal options, with yogurt, fresh fruit and a variety of cereals, juice and great coffee, presented by Bongi with an infectiously bubbly personality. The property is akin to a countryside retreat, supported by great people. The location is central with easy independent access for guests. Thank You for a 6 star experience!

I enjoyed my stay. The host was welcoming and friendly...the room was more than expected, huge, comfortable, and clean. This place is central, so it's easy to navigate around, and uber/bolt is accessible easily.

Everything was great! Really close to Unitas Hospital and straight-forward road. Close to a host of restaurants and shops. The room itself was extremely clean, neat, tastefully finished and furnished.
