What an absolutely delightful place to call home for a few days! We were looking for a restful spot on a quiet beach after our safari and this was it. The building itself is fascinating….lots of history within, unique and quirky and has everything you need and more. Our rooms were comfy and clean and the balcony in each room overlooking the beach was great. Massi and Miria are the perfect host…there when you need them with answers to all your questions. All staff were so kind and friendly…restaurant staff with whom we interacted the most were the best. The daily breakfast had a perfect selection of continental and hot options. And a juice with fruit and avocado that I wish I could have bottled and brought back home. We ate all three dinners there and they were out of this world (I’m running out of superlatives to describe our stay!). With Massi’s obvious influence they were all traditional Italian. Four amazing courses each night and only $20 USD per person. Worth so much more. I wholeheartedly recommend Zanzibar House as a perfect place to stay for a beach break. Suggest taking the taxi service offered on their site as we chose not to and our cab driver had difficulty locating it. With the help of a kind local on a motorbike however, we did. The owner is very nice, helpful and will give you all recommendations you need. She even allow me to use her phone to call the airline company and change a flight. The location is ideal, next to a very nice beach, diving centre and some bars and restaurants. The bungalow is big enough, very clean (it gets cleaned every day). The fans which help with the heat. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, eggs, a small salad, and toasted bread. It’s simple but what you need. Thanks again

Isla Bonita is your choice if you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront property far from crowded tourist areas. We felt right at home right from day one. We were welcomed warmly by the owners and services were always rendered with a smile. Loved the food and most of all the beautiful beach which was just a stone throw away. Would definitely visit again!

Everything about Mohammed Bungalows was great. Location in the wonderful setting of Matemwe right on the beach, room which was specious and had everything we needed, vicinity to scuba diving sites and water based activities such as paddling and snorkelling. But most of all the staff and Mohammed’s family who were so welcoming and made us feel really at home. Not to mention that Mohammed is a fantastic cook and the meals we had were superb. We loved everything about our stay and highly recommended.
