Just set in Alishan National Scenic Area, Wankou Hotel is located in Chiayi. It is only a 5-minute stroll from Alishan Railway Station, where guest can take a popular Alishan railway tour. Free WiFi access is available.

The owner/manager provided helpful recommendations for walking paths and gave us clear instructions. They also offer complimentary rides to/from the bus station. They even allow you to rent a jacket for cheap as it's significantly cooler in Alishan than in Taipei. The traditional Taiwanese breakfast was great! The hotel also helps you arrange a sunrise viewing activity.
