The host was really friendly, in a way i never experienced before. We asked if we could have breakfast early (4am), because we would clime the Triglav. He made us very tasty sandwiches and prepared a can of coffee for us. Including fruits and yoghurt.

Our stay at Chalet Sofija totally exceeded our expectations (which are quite high), from the moment we arrived till the moment we had to leave. First of all, the location of the chalet is out of this world, with views that take your breath away from every angle you look, whether from the room, while enjoying a nice dip in the infinity pool or eating breakfast or dinner from the terrace. The photos do not do it justice, it is unbelievable how beautiful this place is. Secondly and not less important, the hospitality of the hosts, Pop and Aleksandra together with the Manageress Alenka was exceptional throughout our stay and they went out of their way to make us feel at home and that is how we felt during the whole of our stay there. To top it up, the food was expertly prepared and was one of the finest dining experiences we have encountered, exceeding the level of many Michelin star restaurants we have dined at. Pop’s innovative cooking presented us with amazing and delicious dishes with a twist, not only for dinner but also for breakfast. He also served us with very good Slovenian wines that went really well with the dishes served. And, if this was not enough, the room was huge, exquisitely and modernly decorated but perfectly fit with the surrounding nature and offered panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and forest, with a huge terrace from where we could enjoy this beautiful nature up close. I don’t think we will ever find an accommodation in Slovenia that comes even close to what we experienced at Chalet Sofija.

Vi ankom sent og skulle ta en tidlig buss, så det var flott beliggenhet i forhold til buss og togstasjon! Utrolig hyggelige og hjelpsomme eiere som tok oss i mot når vi ankom.
