Perfect place to relax, recover and recharge your batteries! Quiet, calm place with great people and wonderful dogs around. Lots of greenery and a swimming pool is definitely a big plus! I recommend it to everyone!

Veldig vakkert sted. Nydelig, fredelig lokasjon like utenfor Aldeia do Meco, med kort avstand til strendene langs Meco-kysten. Det er flest par som kommer hit, og i tillegg er det få rom, så her er det fredelig og stille. Personalet er svært hyggelig og hjelpsomt. Det var for eksempel ikke noe problem å få låne en parassol til bruk på stranden. Pluss for gratis parkering på eiendommen og god frokost til 7 euro tilgjengelig. I tillegg er det nydelig å ha bassenget like utenfor rommene og gode solsenger rett vis à vis. Generelt god valuta for pengene! Anbefales!

The area is just incredible - it is popular but in no way crowded, in the heart of endless pine woods, close to world class beaches. A gorgeous combination of outstanding natural beauty and enough civilisation to get by on. There is a loose network of little hamlets and vacation spots strewn across nature reserves. Alfarim has some restaurants, cafes, grocery shops etc. The house and the staff offer a decent price-quality ratio, we had a good suite for an affordable rate (booked three months in advance). In case you haven't got a car, you depend on the regional bus network, which is all right. Sesimbra is the hub connecting you to Lisbon and Setubal, the cape Espichel and other destinations. Our tip - hike the sandy trails in the area in the shadow of the pines, spend endless hours on the breath-taking beaches, enjoy fresh seafood meals in the old part of Sesimbra, visit the nearby moorish castle. This was a unique rural beach vacation.

Joaquin and Ann-Sophie were exceptional hosts and did everything possible (and more) to make us feel welcome. We had a breakfast feast each morning and Ann-Sophie made a special gluten-free option every time which we really appreciated. Their home is in an amazing location looking straight at Castelo de Sesimbra and is very spacious with a lovely garden and swimming pool. The location is perfect for reaching Sesimbra and the beaches (we managed very easily without a car as the taxis were cheap). We had lovely food in Sesimbra, especially the fish and would highly recommend Casa Calibris.
