I can not say enough good things about BD Guesthouse and the customer service received. Ava and her staff was very welcoming; always asked did I need anything; House keepers went out of their way to not disturb my stay. Fresh local fruit every morning, cookies,water,tea and coffee. Shared kitchen to gather n meet other travelers from all over. Great local experience; Quiet, Clean,colorful mosaic garden with hammocks. Occasional late night music across the street but u get used to it. Got to see some colorful birds. The location was perfect, walked to Chedraui, local fruit market, and restaurants across the street; convenience store on corner; Never once felt unsafe even after dark. Colectivo stop is steps away to take you to the beach or to tour Colonia; also taxis everywhere. very short ride to the beach but Don't waste your money on food at portside. The local eateries at Colonia are the best. Please do not pass up Quesadillas de la Colonia. There was a taco stand close by that stayed open late n was very good.Cant wait for my next visit!

Very cute property, centrally located with kind and helpful staff. Rooms are simple but clean with A/C and comfortable beds. Shared bathrooms are cleaned multiple times throughout the day and everything was always very clean. They provide both beach and bath towels which was a very nice touch. All at an exceedingly reasonable rate. Extra tip: don’t miss the place right next door for delicious smoothies!

The house was clean. The neighbourhood was quiet - and just a short walk to the beach. The host was very friendly and responsive to our needs. She even went out of her way to help find a local cook to come make a meal at the villa one evening, accommodating our special diets.

We loved the live music in the evenings and doing rooftop yoga at sunset. The restaurant has delicious and healthy food and charming wait staff. It is a short walk to the beach and town center. Night time was quiet and peaceful. Thanks to all, especially Robin, for making our visit so special.
