Dar Mezyana Dades is located somewhere halfway the Dades Gorge in a tiny village that I do not know the name of. Not sure where Dar Mezyana Dades exactly was, I parked the car and got out the car to explore. Out of nowhere, a friendly man approached me with an outstretched hand, asking “Henk?” Bingo! He turned out to be Mimoun, the owner, and was already awaiting us. He told me to park at the mosque, and that from there we would walk to his Dar. The 10 minute walk to the dar took us over narrow concrete and wooden walkways, past the tradition mud brick house he grew up in. The dar is owned and managed by Mimoun and his wife Fatima. The dar has 3 rooms. After the welcome tea, I explored the area. I had agreed on a 7:30 dinner time. Fatima had cooked up a FANTASTIC dinner: pumpkin soup, grilled eggplant with potato and tomato, and chicken (with “mountain thyme”) with fries. After dinner, I talked until late with Mimoun about his family, about food, about politics, about religion, about Morocco and how it has been affected by COVID and the recent earthquake, and of course about soccer! In the morning, we were greeted by a smiling Mimoun and an EXCELLENT breakfast! The breakfast came with a Berber omelet cooked in a tajine. Best omelet I’ve EVER had!

Beautiful hotel. Spotless, modern with traditional twist. Europeanesque food was a welcome break from a lot of local eating at most other hotels. Staff are very welcoming.

What an amazing place this is! Best place you can book in the Dades Valley! Lovely hotel that is far more beautiful than on the pictures. Nice swimming pool, cozy terrace with great view. The host is the loveliest and kindest person you can imagine. Top service and the food…ooooooh the food was soooo good. Absolutely book the 5course dinner in the evening, amazing value for money and something you would really not expect in a remote area like this. Really wish we could have stayed longer!!

I was staying in my own and the staff ( omar ,Mohamed ) went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and relaxing. The room was even better than I expected, luxurious! Perfectly clean and really beautiful. For breakfast they give you a good variety of things everyday and it was very filling The balcony is relaxing and nice to read a book in the sun The place is very clean and looks like in the pictures. I can highly recommend Auberge Tissadrine!
