We had a wonderful stay at Hakuna Matata. Billy and his family were so welcoming, and the Sri Lankan breakfasts cooked by Billy’s mother were delicious. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with a lovely front patio/balcony area too, and lots of hammocks and sitting spots throughout the property. Location is ideal - one minute from the beach, and one minute to the main road in town. Thank you!

This is a good place for a couple to stay. It was clean and cozy. The staff there is very friendly. Breakfast every morning was different and very tasty. The hotel is located very close to the beach, but if you want to surf, you need to get to the main point, which is a 10minute drive from there.

The owner is incredibly kind and helpful! Lovely location - close to town but still quiet at night. Rooms are a nice size with air-conditioner and fans. Really enjoyed my stay here :)

Pretty Newly renovated guesthouse. We stayed for one more extra night. Close to the beach with in one minute walking distance just cross the main street. We also had free to cook ourself by thier mini kitchen. And also complimentary Tea and Coffee for every customers offered by the owner here. Great value for money

Nice breakfast location, absolutely nice personal and boss - so friendly and helpful. They made our laundry, arranged a taxi to our next destination in Sri Lanka and everything for fair price. Easy communication in WhatsApp. Highly recommended!!!

We loved our stay at Starfish Cabanas, Tari and his team made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast food was delicious. We loved staying at the Jungle House! The room and the bathroom were very clean and beds were made almost every day. Bins were also emptied. The guesthouse has a very nice and aesthetic vibe and Laura is an amazing host! She was always happy to help us with questions and recommendations for the area. She also sells big (18 L) bottles of water for a good price (800 LKR) which was very convenient! The Jungle House is about 200m away from the main road, thus a little more quiet, but you can still walk everywhere. The room also came with a little kitchenette and kettle on the balcony and a fridge in the room. After having done extensive research on where to stay in ABay, we can confidently say that we found the best place! The cute cats living on the property are the cherry on the cake!
