Everything about this property is amazing! The building itself is all wood traditional rooms with futon beds. The showers are modern and very nice hot water. There is a kitchen where you can make some food and nice common area you can eat and meet the other guests and the lovely staff. All sparkling clean. The staff are the nicest people you can meet and so very helpful! The location of the property is 5 stars, the Isso beach couple of minutes walk behind the property and the river and the green heels in front of the property. The property has some spaces for parking in front of you rent a car.

I loved this place. It’s a beautiful house, beautifully located next to the lake, close to restaurants, close to a busstop. Mainly: the hosts are incredibly friendly ♥️ order the breakfast you wont regret. They can make it vegetarian on request.

There is only 1 main accommodation area and the house has high roof, so it feels very open and spacious for me. Well ventilated with plenty of fresh air and natural light. I loved the feel of a wooden Japanese house. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the outdoor kitchen, lovely outdoor cooking experience; and outdoor areas, makes it easy to dry up after a rainy hiking day. The home is well equipped with racks and amenities (washing clothes, cooking). The host was so warm and caring, she checked in with you to provide necessary information on getting around and visiting Yakushima. Ask her about the meaning of the name Tomarigi, it’s very sweet. Thank you so much for my comfortable and close-to-nature stay, I had an amazing time!

Wonderful location, gorgeous place to stay with a homely and friendly atmosphere. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, warm baked bread and fresh eggs from the chickens. Miki also organised bento for our long hike and helped with restaurant recommendations and bookings. We loved it here.

The owner was super friendly, even offered to drive me to the store and Kaichu Onsen at 4 am for the low tide, but I refuse for her sleep sake. The room and place too were super cosy.

Everything! Mr. Taketo and Mrs. Tomoko were incredible hosts! One thing you will remember forever is the FOOD!!! Tomoko san cooks everything and it is a true masterpiece! My friend and I did a photoshoot of every meal:) I am definitely coming back here again. also there are two cute puppies and a sweet kitty you can pet.

Our stay was amazing. Yuki, the owner, helped us with planning hiking trips and booking the ferry. So no worries at all. She reserved us a rental car and the pick up was easy peasy
