Beautiful and extremely well-maintained century old wooden house. Our host Barbara was very nice and helpful. The are is quiet and peaceful, perfect if you rent a car. Highly recommended!

The location is great! From this guest house, you can easily go to popular destinations(Jomon-Sugi, and Shiratani unsuikyo) with public transportation options and rental cars. Also there are great restaurants in walkable range. Moreover, the host is super kind and he can tell lots of things about Yakushima travel!(you better be good at speaking Japanese)

De supers hôtes, on a reservé la veille pour deux nuits et grâce à eux, on a pu faire tout ce que l'on voulait sur l'île : ils nous ont conseillé de bonnes randonnées, sont venus nous chercher au port, nous ont aidé à louer une voiture. On a vu des singes, un tanuki, et une tortue de mer. Quelques gros arbres aussi... un bonheur 😊 et un délicieux petit déjeuner à la japonaise !

Location is perfect for the famous hiking trails (Jomonsugi / Yakusugi Land). Since it is located in Anbo town, there are convenient supermarkets and restaurants close by. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are two large shared bathroom spaces, and separate toilets - but I did not feel like I had to wait at all to use them. The bathrooms have many toiletries, and there is even a jacuzzi/bath you can use, which is perfect after a long day of hiking. There is also a lovely, well decorated common space / dining space that can be used. A delicious, Japanese style home cooked breakfast is offered here. Credit card and cash accepted. The hosts - they were the kindest and friendliest people, and made my stay very memorable !! I will definitely come back just to stay here again. I would recommend a little Japanese, but they are very accommodating to English speakers. Perfect place!

This place was amazing. The atmosphere is friendly, nee-san is the most amazing host, and will help everyone plan their travels around yakushima. There's a kitchen to prepare food yourself and I highly recommend nee-san's onigiri for a day out! I love this place and will return there once I can. Stayed at 20+ guesthouses, this one is exceptional.

Wonderful location, gorgeous place to stay with a homely and friendly atmosphere. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, warm baked bread and fresh eggs from the chickens. Miki also organised bento for our long hike and helped with restaurant recommendations and bookings. We loved it here.

The owners were the friendliest people ever! The location is wonderful with a huge terrace overlooking the sea to the one side and the mountains on the other side. The house itself is decorated with so much love and detail - we will definitely come back!

we had a great time and loved the guest house. the room was beautiful and spacious. our hosts were very nice and helped us with everything - even picking us up from a bus station and driving us to the nearest supermarket and ATM as we couldn't rent a car. if you don't have a car you will rely on irregular bus schedules - but that would be true for the whole island. there is a bus stop a couple of minutes away from the guest house - easy to get to. you can have dinner and breakfast for a good price and it was delicious. We would recommend it to everyone!

Friendly hosts, clean rooms and wonderful food. Remains the best food I’ve had in Japan after 2 months there! It’s also very chilled but social - you sit with other guests to eat breakfast and dinner. I’d recommend renting a car to get around the island. I used a company called YES Yakushima who arranged my ferry tickets and car rental.
