The hostess was incredibly sweet and she helped us find out where we could arrange a luggage delivery. The room was very spacious, the biggest we had during our trip so far. Very clean also and nice beds. Really loved this place ❤️ Also I highly recommend to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs. It’s nice, the food was great and again; the hostess did an amazing job there.

The receptionist is very friendly and took the time to explain to me several key points to better understand the town. The guest house is also very well located in relation to the town, since it is right in the middle. Another point in favor is that the room has a smart system, which made the stay much more enjoyable.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts! The guest house was at a great location (very close to the bus stop and a convenience store) and the family room was very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it if you are not planning to do a temple stay at Koyasan! I also highly recommend visiting the cafe - great croissants and drinks!

Great location right in the heart of koyasan town. Very convenient to walk to any attractions nearby. Room facilities are up to bar with some 2-3 star hotel I have been to. Tommy is a super friendly host. He recommends a lot of great local experiences from places to have dinner to different trekking trails and temple rituals you can attend for free. Tommy and his wife run a cafe next door and it’s open from 8am which is a rare thing in koyasan (most shops open at 11am). You get a big discount if you stay at Tommy guest house too ❤️

Tommy Guest House is one of the few guesthouses in Koyasan and certainly the best. Our room was very well equipped as described and quite big. Everything was extremely clean, there were clean towels, new water and tea on the second day. The guesthouse is just a few steps away from the bus stop in the center of Koyasan. Tommy is such a warm and courteous host. The contact before our stay was always quick and super nice. A clear recommendation!

So first of, no shower possible in the morning. Having said that, the rest was perfect, loved the breakfast and dinner, quiet room, host was amazing and the location great. Be aware that the bus from the station does not stop at the most convenient location. And yes, go through the tunnel getting there.

A wonderful Guesthouse in a quieter part of Koyasan but within easy walking distance to all the major attractions. Extremely clean and tidy with large shared living spaces. Conveniently located close to the only Family Mart in town, a bus stop and a little park. Nori, the host, is most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. I highly recommend Hachi Hachi.
