I loved my stay! Naho gave me a wonderful welcome to Kobe with a lot of excellent local advice. The atmosphere in the shared space was convivial. The spaces were cosy with creative interior details. Shower pressure was excellent. Loved the roof deck; its fun to watch the Kobe trains go past! Easy walk to train stations and local shopping street Suidosuji.

Despite old, the property was really nice. I got free ticket for onsen nearby, and the property already prepared everything that I need for the onsen (towel, body wash, shampoo, etc), including the tote bag. There was locker for valuables and they provided 2L free water as well.

The hostel has really nice interior in what feels like a euro-Japan mix, nice kitchen, small sofa area where you can sit and read or put up your laptop, very charming bathroom with Japanese bathtub. The bunk beds are big and spacious with lots of room for your luggage. The neighbourhood is nice with lots of coffee shops and restaurants, about a 30min walk from the big shopping district.

Easily in the top 3 of all the hostels I stayed at. Lovely vibe, cool staff and guests, very clean and charming hostel (I actually really liked the train noises). Private rooms are spacious and relatively cheap. This is what every hostel should aspire to be

It’s a guest house/hostel so of course your expectations should be set with that in mind. It was clean, interesting, good location, and the staff member was really kind. Compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in, the beds were very quiet. I’m a light sleeper so I was thankful for that. The bed was similar to a futon, which I prefer because it is what I sleep on in my apartment in Japan. I also felt safe as a solo female traveler. I recommend this place. If I go back to Kobe I’ll definitely stay again.

Small hostel on the side of the Chinese district. Nice, cheap and cozy - good access to the city center so location is a plus. The shower facilities were clean and good quality - though of course renting the bed in shared room it's not entirely private. Still I shared the room with only one other Japanese person and it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

First of all the owner Sai is a great host and will help you with anything you need. She even took us to a hike in the mountains. The bar in the hostel is a great chillout place, you could also choose music if you like. Rooftop and big kitchen too. Also the location is near city center

The owner, Daichi, is such a nice host! He is a very well-travelled guy who loves to talk and share information with you! He knows all the places to eat at and places to visit in Kobe, that he and his wife made binders with detailed information in Japanese and English for guests. The guesthouse isn't the closest to the restaurants, but Kobe is so walkable that, you can easily get to kitano-cho and sannomiya areas on foot. If you're interested in going to the herb garden or hike to the waterfall, then this is a great location for you!
