Portovenere is the perfect place to escape from the hubbub of the other “cinque terre” towns. Although access to the 5 terre was dependent on boats/ bus to La Spezia and then the train, we felt it was not a major barrier and worth avoiding the excessive crowds. The suite was perfect and well appointed/comfortable. the balcony overlooked the water and it was lovely to sit there at the end of the day. It was a few step walk to the rocky “brach” for refreshing swim. Despite the busy waterfront, the balcony door, once closed, was quite sound proof. The owners, Gianluca and Alessandro were hospitable and went out of their way to help. Their restaurant below served Italian breakfast for us and we also had dinner there. We were treated to aperitivo one night. Their response to my questions before arrival were immediate and helpful when we thought we needed a taxi.

Fantastisk flott og stort rom. Nydelig innredet. Veldig stort nydelig bad med fantastisk dusj. Flott stor balkong med utsikt rett mot havnen. God aircondition, god WiFi og god seng. Er mer en leilighet. Rent. Hyggelig informativ vert. Kjøleskap fungerte fint. Ligger i hovedgaten. Går inn på oppside. Fantastisk flott

The location was quiet and lovely, extremely close to the heart of Porto Venere and also to the public and private beaches. We initially went there to see Cinque Terre, but in the end were more impressed by the charming, romantic and much less crowded Porto Venere. The room was clean and well suited for the two of us. Beppe and Rosella are really warm people and attentive hosts. They cook breakfast for all the guests and provide all the information you may need, and inside advice. Also, the view from the terrace is amazing!

We LOVED this location! It was our first time in this area and we were SO happy! We were just outside all the chaos that Cinque Terre seemed to be, but it was very convenient to travel to those locations. The breakfast was excellent!!!

When we arrived, Sergio greeted us at the train station in La Spezia and, from that moment forward, would help make this a special stay. Sergio is one-of-a-kind and would grace us with information, history, suggestion, and, of course, friendly conversation at all times. When he tells you to try the local breakfast of focaccia and a cappuccino at Moon Bar, do it! My wife and I owe a lot to Sergio for helping make this a trip of a lifetime. Even when it rained on one morning and something had to be canceled, the alternative to visit and the walk from San Terenzo to Lerici for lunch to Tellaro was perfection. They really care and it shows. The amount of hard work that has gone into the building and goes into your stay is worth the visit alone! Greta, the massage therapist, will help you recover from a long day and have you feeling ready for the following adventure. She was the one who suggested we visit San Terenzo, Lerici and Tellaro the night before we had rain! Rosanna and Barbara were our two chefs for a local cuisine tasting menu. They worked around an obscure and difficult food allergy that I have to prepare amazing seafood-inspired dishes from the region. Everything was to die for. The pesto making class and dinner that followed was also very unique and tasted great. Both Rosanna and Barbara were so nice and friendly that they gifted my wife a small Portovenere skyline bracelet and a very nice handwritten card!
